This patient was diagnosed with a medium-sized central and right-sided disc herniation in his neck since 2006.  Between 2006 and 2008 the herniation increased in size, causing mild compression of the spinal cord.  These injuries caused the patient to experience severe dizziness, lightheadedness and moderate neck pain.  These symptoms significantly affected the patient's life to the point where he was unable to walk, work or maintain a social life.  Walking a short distance caused severe dizziness, resulting in multiple trips to the emergency room.

Between 2008 and 2010, he visited neurologists, orthopedics, pain management specialists and tried multiple bouts with physical therapy and chiropractic.   There were no signs of progress, even after multiple attempts had been made to manage the problem.  At this point, the patient decided to visit Dr. Tom Gustafson at the Active Healing Center in Colts Neck, NJ.  To add to the difficulties of the situation, he was traveling from his home location in New York City.

The patient entered the Active Healing Center in January 2010.  After a thorough physical evaluation and x-ray analysis it was determined where the breakdown in spinal function was occurring.  He began his rehabilitation program at the Active Healing Center in January 2010.  After 31 visits spanning from January-June 2010, MRI reports have proven that significant progress has been made.  There has been a moderate decrease in the size of central disc chrysler herniation in his neck as well as decreased compression in his spinal cord.  The patient still experiences mild dizziness and neck pain and continues his rehabilitation at a specific facility in New York.  His illness no longer affects his ability to walk, work or socialize.

Chinese Tactics Anthem now on China's Gamebox with a competition to pit gamers in China vs Singapore

7 Questions with Sports Handicapper Alex Blasscyk

PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 23, 2011– It's a another hot day in South Florida on Friday the 22nd of July. Today I'm going to meet with Alex Blasscyk of Blasscyk WINS. This will be the 2nd meeting in the last 6 months with this up and coming Sports Handicapper.

You ask, what's a Sports Handicapper? That was the first question that I had back before my first interview with Blasscyk. You google it and the first thing that comes up is Wikipedia with a description of the entire industry. From the sounds and the looks of it, it's the  Wall Street of Las Vegas.

Today, I'm meeting with Alex at Starbuck's in Boca Raton, Florida. Alex is taking the time to meet with me while in town for business.

"It's my passion, It's my niche and the industry needs me."

I smile and chuckle at the confidence or actually, cockiness of Blasscyk. This leads directly into my next question.

Some say you are full of yourself... What do you have to say to that?

"That's a great question. I can bmw 100% say, YES. I would wouldn't want to be anyone else but me."

You can't help but to laugh a little. What has been your claim to fame?

"Besides being Blasscyk WINS? Just kidding. I'd say the first month of my rookie season in football. I was on fire. I was plus 68 units in thirty days. That's crazy sick good. Not only that, but I limited how many games I played. I didn't play 4 -5 games a day, like the rest of the industry."

What's the difference between you and the other sports handicappers?

"The folks that I work with are my teammates, not my clients. I treat folks the way that I want to be treated."

How many teammates do you have presently?

"Let me explain the process. Anybody that signs up, whether it' dodge s a one day package or a three day or monthly, etc... becomes part of the team. Today, we have a little more than 100."

Wow, that's gotta be a lot of money coming in.

"It's not about the f ferrari ees, it's about taking down Vegas."

Are you close with other Handicappers or are you competition?

"Yeah, it's not me against them. It's us against Vegas. There is a mutual respect between a lot of us and there's that percentage who give the industry a black eye. That's why I'm here. The new face of the sports betting industry."

My final question is... If there is NFL this season; who do you see winning the Super bowl?

"There will be NFL... no question. No matter who's playing... BW and the Team are going to win."

"Philippines Power Report Q3 2011" is now available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press R aston martin elease)– Jul 22, 2011– The new Philippines Power Report from BMI forecasts that the country's power consumption is expected to rise from 60.5TWh in 2010 to 102.3TWh by the end of the forecast period, representing average annual growth of 5.4% in 2011-2020. After power industry usage and system losses, we see a surplus supply rising from the estimated 7.1TWh level seen in 2010 to 10.6TWh by 2020, assuming 5.3% average annual growth in power generation during the period.

The Philippines' power generation in 2010 is put by BMI at 67.5TWh, having risen sharply from the 2009 level of 59.2TWh. BMI is forecasting an average 5.9% annual increase to 89.9TWh between 2011 and 2015. Thermal generation, comprising coal, gas and oil, is expected to increase by 5.8% per annum during the period to 2015, but growth looks set to slow later in the decade.

BMI believes that the country will account for 1% of Asia Pacific regional power generation by 2015. Regional power generation in 2011 is forecasted to be 6,466TWh, representing an increase of 5.6% from the previous year. We forecast an increase in regional generation to 8,213TWh by 2015, representing a rise of 27% between 2011 and 2015.

We expect gas-fired power generation to climb 9.1% per annum between 2011 and 2015, with an average annual growth rate of 8.2% forecast to 2020. Gas-fired generation should therefore reach 35.2TWh by 2015 and 50.0TWh by 2020. The total share of gas in the Philippines' power generation should therefore increase from 34% to 44% by the end of the forecast period. Oil will remain a relatively significant part of the Philippines' power generation mix, although its market share is likely to fall appreciably during the forecast period, as several new gas facilities are being built. Over the longer term, the conversion of older oil plants to gas should mean that oil takes a smaller slice of the power pie.

Coal-fired generation will have accounted for 30.2% of the country's total generation in 2010, according to BMI estimates. We expect the fuel's market share to be 25.9% by 2015, firing a projected 23.3TWh. By 2020, coal's share of generation is forecast at 22.5%, representing 25.4TWh. The current national energy plan calls for an increase in overall hydro-power capacity from 3.2GW to almost 4GW by 2014 through the development of all viable small and mini-hydro plants. BMI is predicting 11.6TWh of hydropower generation by 2015, accounting for a potential 12.9% of total generation.

The Philippines now shares 10th place with South Korea in BMI's updated Power Business Environment Ratings, in spite of a relatively high level of renewables usage. Country risk factors offset some of the industry strength, but the country should be able to keep Hong Kong at bay and potentially overtake South Korea during the next few quarters.

ENER-G prepares to pump up the returns on low carbon heating

PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 18, 2011– The RHI, which is scheduled to be introduced later this year, guarantees subsidy payments over 20 years that will reduce the payback period for organisations that install ground source heat pump and water source heat pump technology.

According to ENER-G, a 200kW ground source heat pump operating 8 hours a day – typical for a school or moderately sized business premises – will qualify for payments of 3 pence for every kWh of useful heat generated, creating a payment of approximately £210,000 over the 20 year duration of the tariff (based upon 350,0 chevrolet 00 kW hours of heat produced per annum).

The scheme will provide payments on heat pumps installed since 15 July 2009 and aims to support a range of heating systems at all levels, from small businesses and offices, and public sector buildings right up to large factories.

The RHI will give annual subsidy payments for the production of sustainable heating at a level designed to remove the barriers to installation. The RHI tariff for ground and water source heat pump technology is:

"The RHI demonstrates the government's commitment to renewable technologies and is yet another benefit for clients utilising heat pumps as part of their low carbon strategy, said Paul Burley, Managing Director of ENER-G Sustainable Technologies. "Ground source heat pumps are the first choice for many clients as the technology scores extremely high against other renewable technologies, where carbon reduction is paramount."

He continued: "Our in-house expertise and resources means we can see the whole project through from initial feasibility through to handover. We operate our own drilling rigs and offer complete in-house services rc helicopter and car market place from specialist design, through to complete project management, installation and maintenance of heat pump technologies. We also have the ability to supply bespoke manufactured heat pumps in a variety of sizes to accommodat acura e complex customer briefs, particularly where space is restricted."

Through its partnership with four leading manufacturers, ENER-G provides one of the widest selections of ground source, gas absorption, air source and water loop heat pump technologies in the UK, supplying all types of applications from 1kW to 1000kW capacity.

For some strange reason, Christian alternative rock music listeners suffer from an intense sense of either… ignorance… or at least amnesia about the past. A guy named C.S. Lewis used to define this malady as "chronological snobbery." Someone said to me a number of years ago in a place far, far away… "I guess in the 80's the only Christian rock band you had to listen to was Petra… ha ha ha – he he he." Um… wrong :). Long before Relient K, alfa romeo and even much earlier than the O.C. Supertones there was such a "dish" being served which can be dubbed Christian alternative music.

Don't get me wrong, I like Relient K and cohorts, but… MEMO: These chaps really didn't inaugurate Christian pop-punk. Neither did MXPX. Some might argue "they've done it better." Ok - in some ways, perhaps, but like Green Day built on ground broken by The Clash, newer Christian bands have their predecessors to thank for churning up some early dirt. Beyond that, I'm reminded of something Jack White (of White Stripes) once said in an interview (I'll paraphrase) - "most bands look back and like their demo tapes better than the finished recordings - what we decided to do was just release our demos." There is an undeniable value of "demo tape" innocence that can't be measured, and this rings true with the early years of Christian Alternative music. A famous film director once said "if you want to get into film-making, just use what you have and start making movies - there's a lot you can do with just a cam-corder." I look back on the early years of Alt. Christian artists and so much of it has that wonderful, "cam-corder" - esque, no boundaries approach to writing and recording. In comparison, much of what you'll hear on current mainstream Christian radio is chock full of hopelessly, chevrolet polished fences.            

Fortunately, there's a new movement going on. One could even say it's an "old" movement. It's a Christian alternative rock old "school" movement. To get "schooled" in the genre of Alternative Christian Retro, one might try checking out Regeneration Radio live 365 by going right here: http://www.live365.com/stations/jeanibond. Ms. Bond… Jeani… Bond, of Lloyd, Florida has a phenomenal, even incomprehensible, collection of formative, underground, and indie (etc) cuts that would embarrass most people's surface level view – or recollection – of that era of tune-age. Both the music and the graphics are as deeply retro as one can imagine. Even though I was an active participant in the "scene" during that time, I'm blown away by my own shallow remembrance of everything that was going down back then. For instance, Ishmael United – what a great band. They rocked. I mean – what a… great band. corsa Or try Johnny Quest on for size. Or experience Crayzed Bunni ferrari es, The Magnetics, Blush, Blue Trapeze, Pietro Dinzee, or the Felix Culpa. Indies, demos, upbeat and offbeat. This is No Laughing Matter (in case you've heard of them?). People will not hear this on corporate radio – and by that I mean virtually anything you can tune into on your FM dial. There are also many people who still own these records and might get inspired to break them out again to discover they still deliver - including bands such as Andy McCarroll and Moral Support. But what about Opinion 8? New December? And Go Go Street? As Butch and Sundance said; Who… are… those guys? People now have a free opportunity to check them out.

In case you think this era/genre with its bands is irrelevant, you might note how at least one knowledgeable on-line music reviewer credits several of the Regeneration Radio play-list bands as having produced some of the top 50 Christian albums of all time – including even less obvious acts such as the Altar Boys, Adam Again, The LifeSavers, Andy McCarroll and Moral Support, Steve Taylor, and The 77's (among others): In fact, read the book "Walk On: The Spiritual Journey of U2" by Irish author Steve Stockman, and you'll discover that one of the aforementioned 531276856  bands (Andy McCarroll and Moral Support) was an early influence on the Irish icons during their formative years. Christian music fans would do well to get schooled – or at least re-schooled. It's possible some might even get regenerated (when was the last time you chewed on lyrics like those of Steve Taylor's "Whatever Happened to Sin?" as part of your normal Christian music diet?).

Women's Energy Network Lunch Benefits Women and Children

PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 14, 2011– (Houston): On April 25, 2012, the Houston Chapter of the Women's Energy Network (WEN) will host a biennial lunch in support of Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA) at the Omni Hotel in Houston.  

WEN hosts charity lunches biennially to support charities and non-profit organizations in the Houston area. Since the lunches began in the 1990s, participation has grown to more than 300 attendees and funds raised have exceeded $100,000.  Last year, WEN was able to raise over $88,000 to benefit Gracewood.  

AVDA was chosen because of the important work the organization undertakes to rescue women and children from battered relationships and empower them to build a safe life on their own.   Among the criteria WEN emphasizes in selecting a charity recipient is to find an organization that serves women and/or children - AVDA does both.  Additionally, WEN seeks to support organizations that are resourceful with the budget that they have and make the most significant impact possible with its funds.  AVDA excels in this area as it handled cases for more than 1500 families in 2010 with only six attorneys.  

"AVDA was a natural choice as WEN's charity lunch beneficiary for 2012," states Gindi Eckel Vincent, the charity lunch chair, "Both organizations have a message of empowering women and we look forward to shattering past fundraising records to help support AVDA in 2012."

New market study, "Egypt Water Report Q3 2011", has been published

PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 10, 2011– BMI View: Decision-making in Egypt has slowed dramatically during H1 2011, with the ousting of President Mubarak and his replacement by an interim, military-led, administration frustrating efforts to register progress on the main wastewater schemes that make up Egypt's centrepiece projects as it attempts to increase water production. With the authorities' focus firmly on shoring up the country's finances, it has been left to the PPP Central Unit, under the new leadership of Atter Hannoura, to drive water sector development. We believe the chances of effecting progress on the Abu Rawash and 6 October City projects - the two most advanced projects - will be limited, despite the best intentions. Though data rooms for Abu Rawash will be opened up in June, we expect slippage in the government's long-term plan to boost that plant's capacity by 800,000 cubic metres per day (m3/d).

Key themes to highlight for Egypt's water sector:

*  BMI has revised down its forecasts for the country's water production stretching out to 2015. Compared to our original forecast of output of 6,440mn cubic metres (m3) for 2011, rising to 7,829mn m3 by 2015, we now see water production at a more modest 6,544mn m3 in 2011, reaching 7,520mn m3 by 2105.  * The key reason behind the scaling back of the growth in production is the weaker political climate in Cairo, with delays to the main wastewater production projects at Abu Rawash and 6 October City.  *  Ethiopia has said it will not approve the Nile Basin treaty between the countries that share the Nile river water resources until elections are held in Egypt, amid heightened tensions between Addis Ababa and Cairo. Much, therefore, hinges on the outcome of the November 2011 elections.

Egypt is unlikely to experience any substantial developments in the main public private partnership (PPP)-structured water projects in Q3, although the PPP Central Unit is committed to persevering with the tendering process. The main focus area over the next six months will be the PPP unit's efforts to keep investor interest in the major build, operate, transfer (BOT) programmes in the wastewater sector and ensure that a new post-November 2011 government will be as committed to privately financed projects as the Mubarak government was. The need to move ahead on these schemes is not a matter of choice for Cairo, but of necessity. However, the business and political cycles are likely to be out of sync until 2012 at the earliest.

New Market Report Now Available: Papua New Guinea Oil & Gas Report Q3 2011

PRLog (Press Release)– Jul 08, 2011– The latest Papua New Guinea Oil & Gas Report from BMI forecasts that the country will account for 0.14% of Asia Pacific regional oil demand by 2015, while providing 0.39% of supply. Regional oil use of 20.6mn barrels per day (b/d) in 2001 reached an estimated 26.4mn b/d in 2010 and is forecast to rise to around 29.6mn b/d by 2015. Regional oil production was around 7.6mn b/d in 2001 and averaged an estimated 8.0mn b/d in 2010. It is set to increase to 8.2mn b/d by 2015. Oil imports are growing rapidly, because demand growth is outstripping the pace of supply expansion. In 2001, the region was importing an average of 12.99mn b/d. This total rose to an estimated 18.37mn b/d in 2010 and is forecast to reach 21.3mn b/d by 2015. The principal importers will be China, Japan, India and South Korea. By 2015 the only net exporter will be Malaysia.

In terms of natural gas, in 2010 the region consumed around 511.5bn cubic metres (bcm) and demand of 653.9bcm is targeted for 2015. Production of an estimated 405.8bcm in 2010 should reach 556.7bcm in 2015, implying net imports falling from around 105.7bcm to 97.2bcm. Papua New Guinea's share of gas consumption in 2010 was an estimated 0.03%, while its share of production is put at 0.04%. By 2015, its share of gas consumption is forecast to be 0.03%, however the country will then account for nearly 6.5% of supply.

Global GDP growth in 2011 is forecast at 3.6%, down from 4.3% in 2010. Growth in both the US and eurozone should be marginally higher than last year, while Chinese economic expansion will slow and Japan's growth will slump to 0.7% as a result of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in March 2011. PNG's real GDP growth in 2010 is assumed by BMI to have risen by 8.0%, with an average annual increase of 6.8% forecast for 2010-2015.

There is indirect state involvement in the upstream oil and gas industry, as the government is a minority owner of leading producer Oil Search, which is responsible for the country's current oil and gas supply, as well as being a partner in a planned gas export scheme that is due to enter production by 2013/14. audi

We are assuming that oil and gas liquids production will shortly rebound, but then fall to around 31,800b/d by 2015. Consumption is forecast to increase by around 5% per annum, implying demand of at least 40,600b/d by 2015. The import requirement will therefore be around 8,800b/d by the end of the forecast period.

Between 2010 and 2020, we are forecasting a decrease in PNG oil production of 15.1%, with crude volumes falling to 25,800b/d by the end of the period. Oil consumption between 2010 and 2020 is set to increase by 62.9%, with growth averaging around 5% per annum during the forecast period and the country using some 51,800b/d by 2020. Gas production is expected to rise rapidly, from an estimated 0.2bcm in 2010 to a possible 38.0bcm by acura 2019/20. Even with demand growth of 135.3%, this provides export potential rising to 37.6bcm, all in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG). PNG now holds fifth place, ahead of the Philippines and Malaysia, in BMI's composite Business Environment (BE) league table. The country is now ranked fourth, ahead of Malaysia, in BMI's updated upstream Business Environment ratings, benefiting from its strong gas production/export potential, an attractive licensing environment and a lack of state involvement. PNG is considerably further down the league table in BMI's downstream Business Environment ratings, reflecting its limited size as an energy market with its more restricted growth potential. It holds 14th place, above only Taiwan, but may be able to challenge Malaysia above and make a near-term move up the rankings.

India's mining industry looks set to post average annual growth of 6.2% in real terms from 2011 to 2015 to reach US$85.0bn at the end of the period, as output of key minerals looks set to grow in the coming quarters and years. However, growth in 2011 and beyond will continue to be curtailed by India's poor operating environment. A bright spot, however, is the increasing number of Indian companies venturing overseas to secure stable, long-term supplies of minerals such as coal and iron ore in a bid to meet fast-rising domestic demand.

India's regulatory environment is prohibitive for the global investor. The present practice in the Indian mining industry involves issuing a mining permit/licence contingent on success in the reconnaissance phase. This practice exposes firms to high levels of risk. Moreover, Indian states hold the sole licensing authority for most minerals, leaving aside a few such as iron ore and uranium, which require prior consent from the central government. In spite of best efforts to maintain a degree of uniformity in licensing norms across states, many areas of difference still exist from state to state.

India's mining sector is highly fragmented, with a large number of small and inefficient mines, many of them illegal. According to Austrade, 95% of operating mines in India produce only about 50% of the country's mineral output. Given the sector's strategic and economic importance, there is significant government involvement, with the sector dominated by state-owned companies or Public-Sector Undertakings (PSUs) such as National Aluminium Corp (NALCO), SAIL, National Mineral Development Corp (NMDC) and Coal India. Indeed, according to the USGS, PSUs contribute about 85% of India's total value of mineral production and are the main producers of key commodities such as coal, iron ore, aluminium, copper and gold.
