37th Annual Town Fair Tire World of Wheels Hosts Discovery Channel’s American Choppers

custom car show and motorsports expo hosts the Discovery Channel's "American Choppers" series in the person of star Paul Teutle Sr. on Saturday, Apr. 2. The show runs the weekend of Apr. 1-3 at Boston's Seaport World Trade Center.

At 10:30 a.m., Apr. 2, Teutle will unveil three custom chopper theme bikes that match three custom cars built by Trans AM Depot of Tallahassee, Fla. Hurst CEO Nate Shelton will be on hand to present Teutle with a custom 2011 Hurst Edition Trans Am concept, especially built for him. The unveiling and presentation of the choppers and matching custom cars will be filmed as part of an upcoming episode of "American Choppers" on the Discovery Channel.

For nearly four decades, the Town Fair Tire World of Wheels has offered Boston-area spectators the chance to see hundreds of dazzling custom vehicles, most created by local auto enthusiasts and representing millions of dollars in one-of-a-kind hot rods, customs, street rods, collectibles, race cars, antiques, restorations, tuners and more. Spectators also see specialty vehicles and magazine cover cars, meet and get free autographs from celebrities and are entertained by attractions for the whole family, like the King Robota Comic Bot, presented by Town Fair Tire.

In addition to America's finest custom c aston martin ars and motorcycles, the 2011 Town Fair Tire World of Wheels will feature Galpin Auto Sports' radical concept car Scythe; 6-pack, a 6-wheeled wild custom from Mini Truckin' magazine; Goodguys Rod and Custom Association's custom Model A Ford hot rod of the year Downtown Brown; Dennis "Lil' Daddy" Roth's Streetnik Bandit; Motorama display of traditional rods, customs and bobbers; Drag City USA vintage racing car display; pinstriper jam and charity auction.

Celebrities making personal appearances this year include New Engla alfa romeo nd Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, Capt. Johnathan Hillstrand of the Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch," Danielle from the History Channel's "American Pickers" and Zendaya Coleman, who plays Rocky in the Disney TV series "Shake it Up."

Thirty-seventh annual Town Fair Tire World of Wheels show hours are Friday, April 1, 2011, 3-10 p.m., Saturday, Apr. 2, 2011, 10 a.m.-10 p.m., and Sunday, Apr. 3, 2011, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for chi corsa ldren 6-12, free for children 5 and under.
