PRLog (Press Release)– May 26, 2011– Inspired by both her children and a dream, Lynne Burton began writing children's books in 2008. Her latest is a three-volume series entitled, The Adventures on Ken's Canal.
Burton's books feature characters living and working on a canal, and all are named after family members and friends. Ken's Canal is named after her grandfather.
Jamie is the head of the barges and he keeps everyone in line, especially George, who tends to be the cheeky/naughty one. Charlotte and Indee are considerate and caring, while baby Jacob is very young and innocent, being new on t car news he canal.
Two bridges, Stanley and Sheila, sit on either end of the canal. There are also a couple of vacation cottages for city folks. On the farm where farmer Mark and his wife Rachael live, is a barn called Barry, who's American. Barry the Barn wears a Stetson as his roof and has a Texas accent.
